I can't wait to see the things you do, Lambda Rho ♡

Updated: Dec 20, 2018

Consultant life is just as hectic as they told me it would be, so many apologies for just writing this post now.

If you've been reading my posts, you know that I spent my first week on the road with the lovely women of the Lambda Rho chapter at Texas Christian University. I was there for their recruitment, and arrived halfway through round 1. Getting off the plane at DFW and driving to TCU was the first time this job really felt real. I was extremely anxious and nervous that I wouldn't be helpful to them at all. I spent the entire drive from the DFW airport trying to desperately remember every little thing we were taught during training, with little success. However, thankfully, when I finally met the girls, all those anxieties went away.

Lambda Rho is made up of some of the sweetest, most dedicated, driven AOII women I've ever met!! Since I was there for recruitment, I didn't get to explore Fort Worth very much, got to see the hard work that every member put in during the recruitment process pay off, as women were bouncing up and down with excitement to receive a bid from AOII. After a hard recruitment, I know that Lambda Rho is on the right track for success, and I can't wait to see them flourish in the future! We ended bid day with a TCU right of passage, getting Melt ice cream with the new members! ter at the end of the recruitment week. They rented out a local Fort Worth theater and we all saw Mamma Mia 2 together, which was a blast.

Even though it was my second time seeing it, I had so much fun singing along to all the songs with everyone! Lambda Rho also introduced me to the best acai bowl I've ever had, which was from Nektar, and I will be looking for a Nektar in every city I travel to from now on. I was able to stay for their bid day, too, which I was very thankful for because I got to see the hard work that every member put in during the recruitment process pay off, as women were bouncing up and down with excitement to receive a bid from AOII. After my visit at Lambda Rho, I had a few days off (very welcome after a sleepless recruitment visit). I stayed with Lambda Rho's recruitment adviser, Courtney, who is amazing! She has the two cutest dogs ever (after mine of course) so I got to spend my R&R days playing with pups, and shopping!! What could be better!? The Dallas/Fort Worth area is littered with cute boutiques that were impossible to ignore, and I got some great on-the-road outfits at my first stop! My bag was overflowing, though, so this definitely can't be a habit for me. Overall, I'm thankful for an awesome first visit in Texas! Check back soon to see where I'll be next!
